This gallery is meant to round out our website by filling in the gaps and providing photos that might not otherwise be listed with articles on our site. It is not meant to be an exhaustive photographic journal of Mui Ne.

The biggest draw of Mui Ne and Phan Thiet are the miles and miles of unspoiled beaches. See our pages for north beaches and south beaches for more information and photos.

With Less than 50 cm of rain annually, the White Sand Dunes, known to locals as Bao Trang (White Lake) comprise the heart of the Binh Thuan Desert; one of Vietnam's best kept secrets.

Phan Thiet is the provincial capitol. These photos give a glimpse at downtown, the harbor area and the outskirts of town. See our sites page for more information and photos of Phan Thiet places of interest.

Binh Thuan Province has a rich culture. All within driving distance are ancient Cham towers, the country's largest reclining buddha, mironity villages and a temple to the whale gods.

Unknown to even most locals, the northern half of Binh Thuan is covered in dense rainforest. Home to elephants until this century, it contains 2 of Vietnam's nature reserves.

Wildlife in the area is under great threat from development and poaching. It is possible to see all these animals on your visit, but some are very rare. Please also see our Nature Reserves and Flora and Fauna pages form more information and photos.

Do you need a travel writer, nature photographer, tourism consultant or location scout? Contact us, we're available.

The Phu Hai Orphanage photos are all copyright 2007 Cameron Mc Dowall, and used here with permission. Many thanks to Cameron for his support of the orphanage and for providing the photos. Click here for more information about the orphanage. You can also find the orphanage listed on the Phan Thiet map in our new print guide.
